How many counselling sessions will I need?
My therapy can be long term or short term depending on your preference. If the therapy is more short term, it is usually between 7-12 sessions.
How much does it cost?
Counselling sessions cost £60 per 1 hour session. You can pay per session. If your preference is to pay for a block of sessions, this can be arranged.
Where does the therapy take place?
Therapy takes place either online, or face to face in Calverley, Leeds, West Yorkshire.
When are the sessions?
To be discussed with you.
How can therapy help me?
I believe that therapy can help with more self-awareness and understanding of self, emotional regulation, better coping and improved resilience, more confidence and self-worth, grow and make change where you want it, improve your relationships and whatever you need it for.
What sort of therapy do you do?
I am mainly an empathetic and non-judgmental listener first and foremost. This means I do not give you advice. I am also an integrative therapist which means I use theory from different areas such as: psychodynamic, transactional analysis, psycho education, inner child work and person centered.
What are your qualifications?
I have a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
What if I need to cancel?
I understand that we all have busy lives and sometimes unfortunately we all have emergencies that come up in our lives, as well as illness. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend a counselling session. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, full payment will be required.
If we find that you are frequently cancelling appointments, then I would discuss this with you. It might be that I ask that you consider the timing of the therapy and to perhaps wait to return when you are sure you can fully commit to therapy.
Is it confidential?
Yes! I provide confidentiality consistent with the law and codes of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. If I believe that you or someone close to you is in danger of being harmed I will discuss with you the steps that may need to be taken. Only in an absolute emergency would I break confidentiality without consulting you.
What do you do with my data?
I pay a fee to the Information Commissioner’s Office and follow all rules of GDPR. This means I only use your data for the purposes of conducting therapy with you – for example, contacting you about your therapy session. I may keep counselling notes of our sessions, for the purposes of our therapeutic work. This will be kept in a safe and secure way. If you need to access your information at any time or need to change the details I hold about you, please contact me.
